WHEN YOU HOLD ME
WHEN YOU HOLD ME is a zine I made during the London lockdowns in 2020/2021. I took daily snapshots with my phone while walking the streets, running daily errands, thinking of how much I was missing holding hands with my loved ones. Seeing love in strangers helped me remember that I had people loving me, even if they seemed too far away.

"I bought a box of old slides for less than a tenner on a sunny winter morning at the Pimlico market."
As the title explains, I bought an old box of slides, and I've decided to create a Family photo album with them.
Pictures of strangers' private moments hypnotise me, and how couldn't they? Life looks manageable when quickly framed in a photograph.
Who are these people? Are they still here? Were they happy? Did they love each other, did they fight?
I don't actually want to know; the story I've made up in my mind is good enough.
