Laura Gaggero is an Italian photographer and visual artist based in South London. Laura's practice work includes different mediums and often focuses on photography as a tactile experience. Her love for photographing the women around her starts from a need for a more present Female Gaze, which aims to show how women want to see themselves and how they would like to be seen. She graduated in Documentary Photography & Photojournalism at the University of the Arts London (LCC) and discovered Documentary Photography as her primary interest.
She works as a freelance photojournalist for Alamy Live News and as a freelance photography assistant after taking a Studio Assistant course with editorial photographer Edwin James. She has also worked with zines, books and many other media types, such as exhibitions and moving images.
